The following information applies only to the participants of the Mobius Theory Spaceport & Holiday Market.

It will always contain the most current information for vendors, artists, musicians, and other participants in the Spaceport event. This information may also be duplicated in emails and direct messages, but if you ever have any doubt, feel free to save this link and check this page often, as I will keep this content accurate.

This space is located on Highland Strip next door to DWJ Korean BBQ and Belltower Artisans Coffeeshop.


I will be updating the flyer in the next week or two as I finalize some things. What you already have access to or may have seen online is always fine to share, but keep in mind it may evolve to add some live music names and things like the open bar, if I am able to pull that off. I am 95% confident it will happen.

I plan on being fairly communicative via email and Instagram whenever there's an important update, and will likely direct you to this page. I also plan on getting promo together before August ends, so things like complete social media flyers and physical posters should be done by then. I won't waste too much time with other updates now because it's fairly early, but I know it will be October soon enough.

The images on this page are okay to share, but if you can hold off until I get a few updates in, I will be updating these. I plan to have images in a variety of sizes and orientations, as well as 11x17 posters to put up around town. If anyone wants to volunteer with flyer posting around town, let me know!

A week before the event I will also be asking if anyone wants to communicate via text as that could be more direct when a fast response is required, especially that Saturday morning.

In the next update (whenever that is) I will confirm address, site plan, load-in process, etc.

In the meantime, I wanted to list out a few important details:

If anyone needs to cancel, as always please let me know as soon as possible, but due to the cost of the venue and insurance and supplies which need to be secured relatively early, I won't be able to do any refunds after August 31st. I will do my best if anyone has a dire situation, but I want to be upfront on what is going on here. The vendor fee is exclusively being put right back into the event, and then some, so it will all go to good use to make a fantastic party.

19 vendors in total, myself included. I will be posting the list of all the vendors here soon so everyone knows who they will be working with! I have a range of what the booth size will be but I will be finalizing that before August ends.

So far confirmed is 2 solo live music acts (David McNinch of Mama Honey, and Tony Manard) and 1 DJ (Harry of The Switchblade Kid). The space cannot accommodate full bands, so this lineup should provide great music without being deafening.

Unless something significant happens [in the positive], I still plan to maintain the 1-6pm hours. The contract for the venue will be set far in advance so that is likely not going to change.

No early breakdowns and departures, you handle your own sales, taxes, security, and everything else that is typical at other shows.

The venue does have restrooms, electricity and electrical outlets (yay!), climate control, but it will not have its own wi-fi of any kind; it is a single story building that should get decent cell coverage. I have been in this space before for a show and it did not appear to be an issue. If anyone knows they have trouble indoors and/or traditionally requires wi-fi, let me know and we can work something out.

About the name...

The concept of the Spaceport + Holiday Market is two-fold. I wanted a name that alludes to a meeting place one might find in science fiction or fantasy, a melting pot made up of travelers from all over the world (or galaxy), putting their troubles and long journeys aside for a day while they mingle, drink, shop, and play. And drink. And shop.

The other reason for the name is that it's simply unique and different. I think it's important to stand out, because Memphis can certainly embrace the fantastic. If it goes well, I expect Mobius Theory to do something like this every November.

I am looking forward to this. My early sense is that there is some great excitement for this event already, despite any real promotion yet.

There is a lot going on that first Saturday in November, but with the holiday season there usually is a lot to do in Memphis. I wanted to be a part of an event that is an eclectic and interactive experience, a true destination, My goal is to make this a party that people will be scared to miss!


Setup: Begins promptly at 11:00AM. Vendors must be completely set up by 12:45PM.

Breakdown: Begins no later than 6:00PM. Vendors must be completely vacated by 6:45PM.

Booth size: The booth size will be between 6’x8’ to 6’x10’. All booth sizes will be identical with the exception of certain flex spaces that will be arranged with vendors prior to arrival.

Vendors must provide their own booth materials including tables and chairs, merchandise displays, and vendors be able to process their own payments. Venue or Host cannot provide or handle money for vendors, or process credit card payments on their behalf.

Vendors must stay until end of event. This is slated to be 6:00PM unless otherwise stated in correspondence before the event, or agreed upon the day of the event.

Map of space with booth assignments and final booth sizes will be sent with ample time before event date.

Due to the expenses incurred in the event and the space, vendor fees cannot be refunded after August 31st, 2019.

Deadline for refund of Vendor Fee is August 31st, 2019.

By agreeing to participate in the Mobius Theory Spaceport & Holiday Market, the undersigned vendor (“Vendor”) agrees to be bound by each and every term below as stated by Andy Torres / Mobius Theory (“Host”).

  1. Andy Torres / Mobius Theory agrees to provide each Vendor of Spaceport & Holiday Market with one assigned space.

  2. Vendor agrees to obey all rules and instructions as directed by the Host. Any failure to strictly adhere to such rules or instructions may result in the immediate termination of this agreement and immediate forfeiture of any and all fees paid.

  3. As a courtesy to other vendors and the musicians at the event, any excessively loud noise or music from Vendor’s space is prohibited. Ambient or background sound and music at a reasonable volume heard only within your booth area is acceptable.

  4. Only the Host may provide alcohol to the participants.

  5. Vendor shall not display, offer for view or sale any illegal or contraband items.

  6. Vendor acknowledges and understands that it is solely responsible for the collection of any sales or use taxes and shall in no way hold the Host responsible for any type of permits other than for the festival itself.

  7. Vendor is solely responsible for the security for all its items at the Event location at all times.

  8. We make no representation or guarantees towards actual Event attendance.

  9. Vendor understands that the Event Host has no control over weather, acts of God, acts of terrorism, or governmental intervention, or any other cause that may prevent, and or interrupt, the event, and participants shall hold the Host harmless for any losses that could arise because of such event.

  10. The Event Host reserves the right to place Vendors in booth locations at its complete discretion.

  11. Vendor upon vacating its space(s) shall ensure that such space shall be free of any and all trash and refuse with such being placed in the appropriate containers.
